PRODUCT DETAILS
Segment and Sector Ball valves are a special type of valve used for flow control. The characteristic of this valve is that the disk or segment inside is hemispherical. The way it works is that this disk or segment usually rotates to allow the fluid to flow or to close. Segment ball valves are often used in industrial applications that operate under high temperature and pressure. In this case, the type of coating is very important in these products where metal-to-metal sealing is preferred.
We apply different types of coatings developed by Akvemtek to the internal evening according to fluid type, pressure and temperature values. Our most prominent coating types are Stellite, Chrome Carbide, Tungsten Carbide (Wolfram Carbide), Nickel Alloy Tungsten Carbide, Chrome-Oxide, Titanium Dioxide coatings. Our products can be controlled with world standards API 598, ANSI FCI 70-2 as well as ISO 5208. In these tests, according to your request, our products can be delivered with class C sealing or zero sealing in accordance with class A.
Segment ball valves can be much shorter in length than standard ball valves due to the half of the sphere.
Segment / Sector Ball Valves are produced as trunnion, full bore or half bore, two or three piece. Design standards are EN-12516, ISO 17292, ANSI B16.34, API6D; while face to face standard is EN558, ANSI B16.10 or special size can be designed according to the request. In connection flange; we can help with EN 1092-1 & EN 1092-2, ANSI B16.5, B16.47 standards. Connection standard for valve top flange is ISO 5211. Our products can be controlled with world standards API 598, ANSI FCI 70-2 as well as ISO 5208. In these tests, according to your request, our products can be delivered in accordance with class A with class C sealing or zero sealing. Fire safety is ensured by designs made according to API607, API6FA and ISO 10497 standards.
Segment, Sector or Hemispherical Valves are commonly used in power generation, chemical industry, petrochemical plants and other process industries. The ability of segment ball valves to perform reliably, especially in high temperature and aggressive environments, allows them to be used in such harsh conditions.
