PTFE Coated Butterfly Valve is a type of valve that is coated with a special material generally known as PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) or teflon. PTFE has properties such as chemical resistance, low friction coefficient and high temperature resistance.

The operation of these valves is based on typical butterfly valve principles; that is, it allows flow in the open state, but blocks flow in the closed state. PTFE coating covers the inside of the valve, providing resistance to abrasion and chemical protection. PTFE Coated Butterfly Valves are generally used in chemical processes, petrochemical industry, and applications where acids and aggressive chemicals are present.

Additionally, thanks to the PTFE coating, a smooth surface is formed on the inside of the valve, which allows more effective control of the fluid. Due to these features, PTFE Coated Butterfly Valves are preferred especially in industrial applications where chemical resistance and low friction requirements are required.
