Swivel Joint Connection Types

  • Flexible/rotating piping systems must transfer powders and granules, gases and liquids;
  • Gases and liquids must be injected into rotating plant components;
  • Hose connections must be stabilized against stress caused by bending or torsional forces or replaced with swivel joint scissors;
  • Due to extreme plant characteristics and/or increased safety requirements, a swivel connector is applied.
  • Swivel Joints are available in 8 different styles (10, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 30 and 31) which can be combined with 3 types of connection ends (threaded, flanged and weld ends). The appropriate combination of these styles can realize almost any 3D movement.

Ball Joint

The ball swivel joint offered to you in partnership with Akvemtek and Igatec is for special applications with approved swivel movements of ± 15° to the axis of rotation.

It should be noted that due to the sealed concept, the torsional moment with working pressure clearly increases as well as with standard rotary joints. Akvemtek has been producing for many years; As the representative of the German company Igatec GmbH in Turkey and the United Kingdom, it offers Swivel Joint products to end users.

Besides carbon steel and stainless steel; Swivel Joint products made of special materials such as Aluminum, Bronze, Duplex Steel and Titanium are designed, produced and delivered according to the working conditions.


The absence of bearings in our Akvemtek Igatec Swivel Joint Type Ball Joint product reduces the need for maintenance, while increasing durability and compact design in harsh conditions. Our Swivel Joint product offers nominal diameter value from DN25 to DN500. Akvemtek Igatec Ball Joint is used in rotary joint products. Multidimensional swivelling in our Swivel Joint Ball Joint product offers flexibility by allowing the connection to move freely in more than one direction and prevents bending and twisting of hoses or pipes.   Ball Joint products have the flexibility to rotate 15° in plus or minus direction. This product is especially preferred in pipelines with high vibration; It is preferred by many companies in Turkey.
