Swivel Joint Connection Types

  • Flexible/rotating piping systems must transfer powders and granules, gases and liquids;
  • Gases and liquids must be injected into rotating plant components;
  • Hose connections must be stabilized against stress caused by bending or torsional forces or replaced with swivel joint scissors;
  • Due to extreme plant characteristics and/or increased safety requirements, a swivel connector is applied.
  • Swivel Joints are available in 8 different styles (10, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 30 and 31) which can be combined with 3 types of connection ends (threaded, flanged and weld ends). The appropriate combination of these styles can realize almost any 3D movement.

TYPE LA

Akvemtek Igatec Type LA is our standard swivel joint used on loading arms on ships, tanker trains and fuel tanker trucks.

The swivel joint is radially sealed. The gasket is designed to be redundant and there is also an O-Ring between the seal of the medium and the bearing. The bearing is designed with 2 bearing paths sized for 160 bar working pressure. This ensures a very long life. The housing consists of three parts, making it easy to replace a seal without having to completely disassemble the loading arm.

Akvemtek Igatec Swivel Joint Type LA offers high load capacity, long life, durability and smooth rotation performance with double bearing structure. Akvemtek Igatec Swivel Joint Type LA is designed to be used in our Loading Arms products. Our Type LA product uses 26CrMo4, 1.4571, stainless steel, c-steel, low temperature steel as material. In our Akvemtek Igatec Swivel Joint Type LA product, "perfect concentric run-out" reduces wear by keeping the joint on the axis while rotating and "easy handling" provides ease of use by providing easy installation and inexpensive maintenance. Akvemtek Igatec Swivel Joint Type LA has TA-Luft certificate and external dust sealing gasket. It is one of the most sold products in Turkey, Germany and England.
