Swivel Joint Connection Types

  • Flexible/rotating piping systems must transfer powders and granules, gases and liquids;
  • Gases and liquids must be injected into rotating plant components;
  • Hose connections must be stabilized against stress caused by bending or torsional forces or replaced with swivel joint scissors;
  • Due to extreme plant characteristics and/or increased safety requirements, a swivel connector is applied.
  • Swivel Joints are available in 8 different styles (10, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 30 and 31) which can be combined with 3 types of connection ends (threaded, flanged and weld ends). The appropriate combination of these styles can realize almost any 3D movement.

Type V

Akvemtek Igatec Rotary Joints Type V are designed as straight fittings and 90° elbow fittings, olive type pipe fittings (C) with male (N), female (S) threaded ends and 24° sealing cone.

Besides carbon steel and stainless steel; Swivel Joint products made of special materials such as Aluminum, Bronze, Duplex Steel and Titanium are designed, produced and delivered according to the working conditions.


Akvemtek Igatec Swivel Joint Type V offers high load capacity, long life, durability and smooth rotation performance with double bearing structure. There is a threaded connection in our Type V product. Our Swivel Joint Type V product is suitable for universal use. Akvemtek Igatec Swivel Joint Type V product uses 42CrMo4, 1.4571 as material. The body of our Type V product consists of 2 parts. Stainless steel is used as sphere material. Akvemtek In our Igatec Swivel Joint Type V product, "perfect concentric run-out" reduces wear by keeping the joint on the axis while rotating and "easy handling" provides convenience by providing fast installation and maintenance.
