So much so that our management and staff are highly skilled and dedicated, ready to share their expertise. IDM Test Equipment conforms to international quality standards including ISO, BS, AS, DIN, EN, JIS, TAPPI, ASTM and others.
The Incline Plane Coefficient of Friction Tester, developed in collaboration with Akvemtek and IDM, is designed to accurately measure the static coefficient of friction of materials. The inclination angle can be precisely adjusted from 0° to 60°, and the device measures the friction on the material until the sliding movement is initiated. In accordance with ISO 8295:1995 and ASTM D1894 standards, it allows you to measure the coefficient of friction quickly, reliably and accurately. It offers a wide range of applications with various sizes of sleds and test plates.
The Inclined Plane Coefficient of Friction Tester (Manually Operated) determines the coefficient of static friction. It is suitable for most packaging materials. It measures the angle at which a test surface begins to slide towards another inclined surface. The slope is constant and increases at a set rate.
As the aircraft ascends, the operator can detect the first sign of movement on the sled. Also recording the corresponding angle of the slope. You can therefore also call this the slip angle. The coefficient of friction is numerically equal to the tangent of this angle.
This manual C.O.F. tester is manual. Therefore, it costs less than our automatic model. This machine is useful for cardboard boxes, corrugated cardboard. as well as leather, non-woven fabrics and textiles.
We have 48 years of experience in manufacturing Inclined Plane Coefficient of Friction Tester. This guarantees the highest quality of the machine. It complies with relevant quality standards.
