PRODUCT DETAILS
Akvemtek Ball Valves
Akvemtek Ball valve is a type of valve used to stop or start the flow of fluids (water, gas, oil, etc.). These valves use a rotating ball to control the flow of fluid. Ball valves operate most effectively in the fully open or fully closed position and are generally preferred due to their low pressure loss and fast on-off properties.
Akvemtek Ball Valve Working Principle
Akvemtek Ball valves have a perforated ball on the inside. This sphere rotates by turning the valve handle. When the hole of the sphere is aligned with the fluid line, the flow can pass freely; When the sphere is rotated and its hole is removed from the flow direction, the flow is stopped. This design allows flow to be controlled quickly and effectively.
Ball Valve Types
- Full Bore Ball Valve : The hole of the ball is the same size as the diameter of the pipeline, thus providing minimum flow resistance. It is used in high flow applications.
- Standard Bore Ball Valve : The hole of the ball is slightly smaller than the diameter of the pipeline. It is preferred in general purpose applications.
- V Port Ball Valve : The hole of the ball is V-shaped and allows more precise control of the flow rate.
- Three-Way Ball Valve : Allows the fluid to be directed or mixed in two different directions. It is used in mixing and distribution processes.
- Flanged Ball Valve : It is used in high pressure and temperature applications thanks to its flange connections.
- Welded Ball Valve : Provides a safer and leak-proof connection with welded connections. It is preferred in high pressure and temperature applications.
- Wafer Type Ball Valve : It is suitable for use in narrow spaces with its thin and compact structure. It is mounted between two flanges .
- Segment Type Ball Valve : Uses a segmented ball for high flow rate and precise flow control . It is especially preferred in industrial applications.
- PTFE Coated Ball Valve : Its ball is coated with PTFE to provide chemical resistance. Suitable for corrosive and corrosive fluids.
- High Temperature Ball Valve : Made of materials resistant to high temperatures, providing reliable performance in such environments.
- High Pressure Ball Valve : It is used in critical applications with its robust structure that can operate under high pressure.
Akvemtek Ball Valve Usage Areas
- Water and Wastewater Systems : Used for flow control in water distribution and treatment systems.
- Oil and Gas Industry : It is preferred to stop the flow in pipelines quickly and safely.
- Chemical Industry : Used for transportation and control of chemicals.
- HVAC Systems : Provides flow control in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
- Food and Pharmaceutical Industry : Used in applications requiring hygienic and clean flow control.
- High Temperature Applications : It is preferred in high temperature applications by using high temperature resistant materials.
- High Pressure Applications : It is used in critical systems with its high pressure resistant design.
Ball Valve Selection Criteria
criteria to consider when choosing a ball valve are:
- Connection Type : Flanged , threaded, wafer or welded connections may be preferred.
- Material Type : Materials such as stainless steel, brass, PVC should be selected according to the properties of the fluid.
- Pressure and Temperature Values : Valve selection should be made in accordance with the operating conditions.
- Flow Rate and Flow : A valve of appropriate size should be selected according to the system needs.
- Ease of Maintenance : Valves that offer easy maintenance and repair should be preferred.
- Chemical Resistance : PTFE coated or suitable materials should be chosen for fluids containing chemicals.
