Akvemtek Gate Valves

Akvemtek Gate valve is a type of valve used for full opening or full closing of fluids (water, gas, oil, etc.). Akvemtek Gate Valve Working Principle

Akvemtek Gate valves operate through a vertically moving gate . During the closing process, the lid moves downwards and blocks the flow. During the opening process, the lid moves upwards and allows the flow to pass freely. This design allows the fluid to stand still or flow freely, thus keeping the pressure loss of the fluid to a minimum.

Gate Valve Types

1. Wedge Type Gate Valve : The gate is in the shape of a wedge, slightly inclined towards the flow direction of the fluid. This design provides a tighter seal during closure.
2. Parallel Disc Gate Valve : It consists of two parallel discs and sealing is achieved thanks to the fluid trapped between the discs. It is generally used in high pressure applications.
3. Rising Shaft Gate Valve : As the cover moves, the shaft also moves, so it can be easily seen from the outside whether the valve is open or closed.
4. Non-rising Spindle Gate Valve : The spindle is fixed and only the gate moves. It is suitable for use in narrow spaces.
5. Knife Type Gate Valve : It is used especially in systems with dense or viscous fluids. A thin blade-like cover cuts through the fluid and provides passage.
